A precision engineering subcontractor serving the automotive and aerospace sectors has a vacancy for a skilled CNC Machinist at their Derby facility. Working to tight tolerances on aluminium, steel, and titanium components, you will play a key part in delivering quality parts on time.
The role
- Set up and operate CNC milling and turning centres (Fanuc and Siemens controls).
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and set tools to achieve specified tolerances.
- Carry out first-off and in-process inspection using micrometers, verniers, and CMM.
- Identify and communicate any machining or tooling issues to the cell leader.
Requirements
- Apprentice-trained or NVQ Level 3 in Machining (or equivalent).
- Proven experience setting and operating CNC milling or turning centres.
- Ability to work to tight tolerances (±0.01 mm).
- Methodical approach and strong attention to detail.
