A tier-one automotive components manufacturer is seeking an experienced Production Team Leader to supervise a shift team on their high-volume press and assembly line in Wolverhampton. This is a days/afternoons rotating role with genuine progression opportunity.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a team of 12–15 production operatives across two shift patterns.
- Monitor output, quality KPIs, and OEE targets, escalating any issues promptly.
- Conduct daily briefings, toolbox talks, and first-line performance management.
- Support continuous improvement activities using lean and 5S methodologies.
Requirements
- Previous supervisory experience in an automotive or high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of health and safety requirements on the factory floor.
- Confidence in leading people and driving accountability within a team.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and 5S principles.
