A national fleet operator and transport business is looking for a qualified HGV Technician to join their in-house workshop in Leicester. You will service and repair a modern fleet of curtainsider and fridge trailers alongside class 8 tractors.
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PMI inspections) to DVSA standards.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and air system faults on HGVs and trailers.
- Complete all defect reports, job cards, and inspection documentation accurately.
- Support the transport operation by responding to breakdowns and urgent repairs.
Required skills
- City & Guilds 3 or NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
- Experience maintaining Class 7 or Class 8 vehicles.
- Able to perform ADR or Tail Lift inspections (desirable).
- Full UK driving licence (Cat C desirable).
