A global automotive Tier 1 supplier with a large manufacturing plant in Coventry is seeking a driven Quality Engineer to support their customer-facing quality function. You will be instrumental in resolving field concerns, driving 8D problem-solving, and improving manufacturing process controls.
Key accountabilities
- Manage customer quality concerns from receipt through to robust corrective action closure.
- Lead and facilitate 8D investigations with cross-functional teams.
- Conduct PFMEA reviews and update control plans in response to process changes or escapes.
- Support supplier quality development activities and incoming inspection processes.
Ideal candidate
- Engineering degree or HND in a relevant discipline.
- Solid understanding of IATF 16949 and core AIAG tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC).
- Proven experience in a quality role within the automotive supply chain.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the confidence to interface directly with OEM customers.
